Rani Channamma University is a state university located in Belagavi Karnataka and was established in 2010 by the Government of Karnataka to provide higher education to the students of North Karnataka region. The university is named after Rani Channamma, a brave warrior queen of the Kittur Kingdom who fought against the British East India Company. The university has more than 100 affiliated colleges spread across the districts of Belagavi, Bagalkot, and Vijayapura. Rani Channamma University has been accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has also been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Rani Channamma University courses are offered in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in various fields including arts, science, commerce, management, and education. RCUB admission process for the UG courses is purely based on merit in the qualifying examination. The scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and covers the tuition fees and other expenses of eligible students.
• State Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students belonging to economically weaker sections of society. The scholarship is provided by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka, and covers the tuition fees and other expenses of eligible students.
• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to meritorious students who come from economically weaker sections of society. The scholarship covers the tuition fees and other expenses of eligible students.
• Post-Matric Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories who are pursuing post-matriculation courses. The scholarship is provided by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka, and covers the tuition fees and other expenses of eligible students.
• Minority Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students belonging to minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Parsis. The scholarship covers the tuition fees and other expenses of eligible students.
• UGC Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students who have qualified for the UGC-NET or UGC-JRF examinations. The scholarship is provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and covers the tuition fees and other expenses of eligible students.
